Many teachers, like myself, are starting back to school. We are filled with stress, worry and anxiety. We fear for the health and safety of our students, our families and ourselves. We are overwhelmed by the changes our districts have had to make. We are frantically learning new online platforms and new online curriculums. We are searching for ways to meet the needs of our students while they are in school and while others are at home online. We are being asked to teach two or three different ways at the same time to reach all of our students. We are struggling to understand how we will find the time to do all of this and be able to meet our family’s needs and our own needs. In the meantime, we are still thinking, “What if I get sick?” We know we have to remain calm and trust God will lead us. With all the pressure we are feeling from our administrators, parents and even the community, finding trust in God and trying not to worry and stress so much has become challenging.
