I've been unemployed due to COVID-19 and my unemployment is now frozen. When I went to fill out my weekly claim form in May the website shut down for several hours. After I was able to log back on it would not let me back into the form. Now I'm not receiving any of my weekly claim forms and I have several weeks of previously received claims that still haven't been paid. I keep calling EDD and every time I do they hang up on me because they say they cannot handle all the phone calls they are receiving. I have also sent several emails and have ticket #'s. Those emails are supposed to be answered with in 7-days and so far none have been answered. I have had to sell plasma to buy food and pay for my bills while looking for a job. My doctor told my I can't do that anymore because I have broke my foot because of lack of calcium due to donating plasma (I keep breaking bones). At this point I don't know what to do. I have an award letter that says I'm entitled to 29 weeks of unemployment but I can't get it if it's frozen!
