to Jesus, and they worship
Him and give Him gifts.
REMEMBER THIS:
"God has given a son to us."
ISAIAH 9:6, NCV
SAY THIS:
How do we know God loves us?
God gave us Jesus.
BASIC TRUTH:

GOD LOVES ME.
DO THIS:

 MORNING TIME

When you go into your child's room this month, say, "Good morning! Who can tell me why this is the best time of the year?" Tickle your child. "It's Christmas—the time when we celebrate Jesus' birthday!"

 DRIVE TIME

Tell your child to look for star decorations while you drive. Many store fronts and city organizations like to decorate for the holidays. Play a game where every time you see a star, everyone has to say, "God gave us Jesus!"

 CUDDLE TIME

Cuddle with your child this month and pray, "Dear God, Christmas is such a special time of year. Thank You for the music and food and presents. It's all so much fun! While we are celebrating Christmas, help us remember that it's really all about Jesus' birthday. Without Jesus, there would be nothing to celebrate! We love You, God. In Jesus' name, amen."

 BATH TIME

Buy a pack of glow-in-the-dark stars. Add them to bath time and dim the lights. As your child plays with the stars, talk about how Mary and Joseph traveled under the stars to Bethlehem. Angels told shepherds in a field under the stars that Jesus is born. Wise men followed a special star all the way to Jesus. Stars are a great reminder of the Christmas story and that God gave us Jesus!
