MORNING TIME

When you go into your baby's room, say, "Good morning! Who can smile? [Baby's name] can smile! Who can snuggle? [Baby's name] can snuggle! Who can do anything? Jesus can do anything!"

 FEEDING TIME

While feeding your baby this month, say, "[Person's name] is your friend. And [person's name] is your friend. (Name several more friends, including yourself.) And Jesus wants to be your friend FOREVER!"

 CUDDLE TIME

Cuddle with your baby this month and pray, "Dear God, I believe Jesus can do anything. Help me live what I believe, instead of worrying or trying to do everything by myself. I love You, God. In Jesus' name, amen."

 BATH TIME

Sing the following words to the tune of "Mary Had a Little Lamb" as you bathe your baby: "Jesus can do anything, anything, anything! Jesus can do anything. Oh, yes, He can.”

I love the idea of setting new family goals, but I live with me. I’m all for committing a lengthy list of goals and objectives to paper, but then my actions don’t follow. Before January is finished I don’t even remember what I wrote.

Anybody with me?  Here’s what I’ve learned: More doesn’t always mean better.

I’m tired of long lists with no follow-through (and the shame that comes with it) so here’s where I am. I’m asking myself this question: What’s the one best thing I can do to help my family better connect this year? . . .
