A year ago we set out on a journey to grow in generosity as we sought God’s voice and obeyed His word to us. Together, we are pursuing spiritual awakening, reaching and discipling our region, and investing in the next generation.

In the past year, we have seen 338 unique giving households on the Magnify journey, 171 first-time giving households, over $7.7 million dollars in total commitments and expected gifts, built new classrooms and added a 5 day program at South to meet childcare needs, revamped our elementary space at West creating a fun, high-energy, dedicated space, and so much more.

We will steward the moment well by reaching those far from Jesus through expanding our current preschools, strategically building bridges and leveraging the partnerships we have in place by leaning on our strength of relational discipleship. Through Magnify, we will invest in fresh ways of equipping every believer to make a difference where they live, work, learn, and play. We are not gathering an audience – we are equipping an army to demonstrate Jesus’ love and to declare His good news of new life.

For the midpoint of our Magnify journey, our team made this guide, called Setting the Table. It’s a tool for you to use, and it will be a record of what God is doing in your life.

PRIMARY GOAL:

We want everyone who calls Crossroads home to go to another level as we seek to hear God’s voice and obey what He says as it relates to generosity.

SECONDARY GOAL:
$8.5 million for generations

Continued ministry investment:

We will continue to invest in our core ministry functions: Making disciples. Equipping and sending everyday missionaries into the areas where they live, work, learn, and play. Celebrating what God is doing as we come together to worship.

Expanded priorities:
$2.5 million

We have three expanded priorities as a church: Pursue spiritual awakening, reach and disciple our region, and invest in the next generation.

We are uniquely equipped to expand our reach to young families, students, and children through increasing and leveraging our current programming and partnerships at all of our locations. We will reach new families with the hope of Jesus through bridge building opportunities for those we serve to experience His great love.

We will add new classrooms, remodel existing classrooms, make space for students, and create better environments for ministry during our worship services in the process. We will be able to create connection spaces for kids and student ministries while strategically leaning into our strength of relational discipleship.

Pursuing spiritual awakening

The needs, division, and pain of this world are too great to be healed by human ingenuity. We need a spiritual awakening that changes us and touches the world. God comes where He is wanted, and we will be a people who will pursue His presence. Worship at Crossroads will be marked by encountering the presence of the living God, and those attending weekly groups will experience the transformative power of hearing from God through a discovery process. And because prayer is the fuel of movements, we will develop a fresh approach to missional prayer through growing and resourcing a network of prayer partners, groups, gatherings, and experiences.

Reaching and discipling our region

 Crossroads began with a sharp focus on reaching the unreached. Reaching the lost has been our primary mission. Through Magnify, we will invest in fresh ways of equipping every believer to make a difference where they live, work, learn, and play. We are not gathering an audience; we are equipping an army to demonstrate Jesus’ love and to declare His good news of new life.

God has given us a vision to be relentlessly invitational, inviting those far from Jesus to join us at our tables. Tables in our homes, schools, break rooms at work, and coffee shops. We are leaning into this ministry of TABLES in a big way! This is how Jesus modeled ministry.

Healing happens at tables, conflict is resolved at tables, and strangers become friends at tables! A table is the great equalizer, a place where everyone belongs, contributes, and receives. God has placed a vision in our heart to see Kingdom transformation in the Greater Pittsburgh Region and Ohio Valley by starting 10,000 tables in 10 years. We will be a place where the lost get found and people embody the life-long journey of discovering Jesus through disciple-making relationships around tables committed to multiplying.
