Magnify the Lord with me, let us exalt his name together.

Psalm 34:3

As we look back at our history, we can see defining moments in which Crossroaders responded with faith to opportunities God presented to us.

Today we’re at another such crossroads. In this pivotal moment, God is calling us to reach the next generation in greater measure. Like the decisions of those who planted our church, our response will impact lives for many years to come and position us to fulfill our mission in our region and beyond.

As we magnify God with our response, God will magnify what we offer to make it resonate more broadly and make its impact greater than we can imagine. As we seek to honor God in every area of our lives and partner with what He is doing, we believe He will magnify our contribution to make a lasting difference on the world around us… for generations.

Your Guide for the Journey

Our team made this guide for your Magnify journey. It’s a tool for you to use, and it will be a record of what God is doing in your life.

For Kids and Students

Magnify is all about investing in the future of Crossroads Church, and we’re going on this journey together as a family. Our kids and student teams created these guides for your elementary, middle, and high school students.

PRIMARY GOAL:
100% Engagement

First and foremost, we are about discipleship. This initiative, above all else, is about trusting and following Jesus more deeply than ever before. We want everyone who calls Crossroads home to go to another level as we seek to hear God’s voice and obey what He says.

SECONDARY GOAL:
$11 million for generations
December 2023-2025

Continued ministry investment:
$6 million

We will continue to invest in our core ministry functions: Making disciples. Equipping and sending everyday missionaries into the areas where they live, work, learn, and play. Celebrating what God is doing as we come together to worship.

Expanded facility investment:
$5 million

We will expand our reach to young families through the creation of kids’ academies. These academies will serve families with young children and, according to feasibility studies, generate enough cash flow to allow us to focus our ministry dollars on ministry, rather than buildings.

We will add and remodel classrooms, create new connection spaces for kids and students, as well as reorient our worship area at West to facilitate a more relational atmosphere while simultaneously expanding our seating capacity by approximately 100 seats.

Pursuing spiritual awakening

The needs, division, and pain of this world are too great to be healed by human ingenuity. We need a spiritual awakening that changes us and touches the world. God comes where He is wanted, and we will be a people who pursue His presence.

Worship at Crossroads will be marked by encountering the presence of the living God, and those attending our Life Groups will know Jesus has drawn near.

Reaching and discipling our region

Crossroads began with a sharp focus on reaching the unreached. Reaching the lost has been our primary mission. We will recommit ourselves to that. Through Magnify, we will invest in fresh ways of equipping every believer to make a difference where they live, work, learn, and play. We are not gathering an audience, we are equipping an army to demonstrate Jesus’ love and to declare His good news of new life.

Investing in the next generation

Pittsburgh West and South

We will expand our reach to young families through the creation of Kids Academies which will provide daycare and preschool. As we reach and teach children in a Christ-centered environment, we will create relational bridges that help us to connect with their parents and to share God’s love. Magnify will allow us to create needed classrooms, reorient our worship area at West, and upgrade spaces for students.

Pittsburgh North

We will develop children’s and student ministry leadership, and arrange sufficient space for enhanced weekend children’s ministry.

Ohio Valley

We will develop children’s and student ministry leadership, with an aim of launching student ministry. We will also begin to explore options for a permanent building.
