Cutting Through the Noise
4. Discovering God’s Will for Decisions
April 28, 2024

Serve at KidzXP!

KidzXP is a 4-day event where kids come to draw closer to Jesus and have some fun while they learn to have a friendship with God. It is filled with games, crafts, water balloons, worship and lots more. We reach over 200 kids across all regions with this event each year, many of them from homes who have never been to church. Make a difference by serving kids in your region! Sign up to serve: KidzXP.com

Check out the updated Group Guidelines and share them with the group.

Connect with God and each other. (1/3 of meeting time)

  • Icebreaker: How do you like your eggs?
  • How have you been hearing from God? What have you done about it?
  • Summer is a great season to B.L.E.S.S. as a group (Begin with Prayer, Listen, Eat, Serve, Share your story). How can we use this season to reach others as a group? Some ideas:
    • Plan a Prayer Walk or prayer meeting
    • Plan a picnic, party, or barbeque
    • Serving initiatives that you can invite others to participate in.
  • Begin with a time of worshipping God through singing together. Suggested song:

Discover what God is saying to you. (1/3 of meeting time)

Read Acts 6:1-7

Context for the passage:

  • What do we learn about making wise and godly decisions from this passage?
  • What criteria mattered to the disciples in making their decision and what was the outcome?
  • Being totally surrendered to God provides clarity for your decision making process. What ways do you want to grow in being a Spirit-led person?
  • Share how you navigated a big decision. How did scripture, opportunities in front of you, or wise counsel from other believers guide you?
  • What barriers do you commonly encounter in decision making?

Go and do it! (1/3 of meeting time)

  • Choose your action step question!
  1. What is a decision you are facing? How can you include God in your process?
  2. As Crossroads continues to grow, there will be challenges to meet the needs around us just like the church in Acts. How do you see yourself as part of the solution? Who do you need to tell in order to get plugged in?
  • Pray God’s wisdom for the decisions that are being made.
