Crossroads is excited to support the Sto-Rox school district through Pack-a-Back as students return to school this season. Our mission is to provide every student in the middle school (grades 4, 5, & 6) with a new backpack filled with basic school supplies before the first day of school.
Our goal is to collect 400 backpacks filled with new school supplies.
There are three unique opportunities for you to get involved…
1. Donate a complete backpack.
You can drop off a fully stocked backpack at Crossroads now until Sunday, August 18. There will be a table in the lobby during weekend services, and the church office will be accepting donations during regular office hours on weekdays. You can also donate extra school supplies – items donated must be new (not used).
2. Pack a backpack.
Join other volunteers on Sunday, August 18th from 12:30pm-2pm in the Chapel at Crossroads North Fayette to help pack-a-back! Family-friendly serve. RSVP below.
3. Distribute the backpacks.
Join other volunteers on August 20 from 5-7 at The Good News Place (530 Chartiers Avenue, McKees Rocks PA 15136) to help distribute backpacks to children and families. Volunteers can help set up for the event, pray with families, and ensure every child receives a new backpack. RSVP below.
